Since 1860, BATORÉU family is dedicated to vitiviniculture in Aveiras de Cima, Regio of Tejo.
Associating tradition, art and technique, our wines are produced from selected grapes grown in 42 hectare vineyards in Aveiras de Cima, a terroir composed of scattered pockets of limestone and clay soil.
The quality of our wines is based on a rich and diversified heritage of traditional Portuguese grape varieties, such as Arinto, Fernão Pires and Verdelho, for our white wines; Trincadeira, Castelão Touriga Franca and Touriga Nacional, for our reds. In the 1990's some international varieties including Syrah, Alicante Bouschet and Cabernt Sauvignon were added to our vineyards and have been used for some of our red blends.
The annual wine production totals approximately 200.000 L of red wine, 50.000 L of white wine and 10.000 L of rosé wine.
